Difference Between Cuisinart TOA 60 Vs TOA 65 Toaster Oven

What are the main differences between Toa 60 Vs Toa 65? Let’s find out!

Appearance & Design – First Impression

The difference in terms of appearance and design is very much noticeable and we could see right when we unpacked both toaster ovens.

Both Toa 60 and Toa 65 toaster ovens feature boxy design with analog and digital controls. There is no “Oh my God” factor in design and appearance but they look good on most countertop thanks to brushed stainless steel and silver exterior respectively.

Cuisinart Toa 60 measures 15.5x16x14 inches whereas Cuisinart Toa 65 measures 17×21.73×15.75 Inches which clearly has larger footprint. Both models are made out of durable stainless-steel material and weigh about 21 and 20.3 pounds.

Apart from dimensions and weight, both models have differently designed control panels. Cuisinart Toa 60 features 4 knobs to navigate the cooking settings while Cuisinart Toa 65 features one knob, 6 buttons and a digital display to operate the toaster oven. Overall, we found the designs extremely simple yet good looking and very functional so, anybody can use these toaster ovens without a fuss.

Cooking Functions

Cuisinart Toa 65 air fryer toaster oven is the upgraded version of Cuisinart Toa 60 so it does offer more in terms of functionality. It comes with 9 cooking functions which are:

  • Bake
  • Broil
  • Roast
  • Toast
  • Reheat
  • Warm

  • Low/High Convection

Cuisinart Toa 60 comes with 7 cooking functions which are as follow:

  • Toast
  • Air Fry
  • Convection Broil
  • Convection Bake
  • Bake
  • Broil
  • Warm

What I love most about Cuisinart Toa 65 is it has air fryer preprogrammed cooking presets. Besides 9 cooking functions, Cuisinart Toa 65 features cooking presets for Fresh fries, frozen fries, wings, nuggets, snacks and vegetables while Cuisinart Toa 60 doesn’t have any cooking presets. With cooking presets, you don’t have to set the timer and temperature which makes cooking simple than ever before.

Temperature Range

Cuisinart Toa 60 and Toa 65 are 1800W cooking appliances with wide temperature range to cook an array of dishes. Cuisinart Toa 60 has a range of 250-450F or warm to 450F whereas Cuisinart Toa 65 has a wider temperature range of 80-450F which lets you dehydrate and air fry certain foods on lower temperature.

Cooking Timer

Another difference that we spotted is the timer difference. Cuisinart Toa 60 has a 60 minute timer whereas Cuisinart Toa 65 can be scheduled for up to 72 hours to dehydrate your favorite fruits and veggies.

Control Panel

One of the most prominent differences is control panel. Cuisinart Toa 60 has retro style 4 dials to navigate the settings whereas Toa 65 has a somewhat modern digital display with buttons which I feel are pretty responsive.

Unlike me, most people would love to have a digital screen on their toaster oven however I would prefer more cooking functions and better performance from my toaster oven rather than design.

That’s all for the difference between Cuisinart Toa 60 vs Toa 65 toaster ovens. Here are the common features that we found on both Cuisinart toaster ovens.

Construction Material

I gifted a Cuisinart toa 60 to my daughter two years back and its still going strong thanks to its stainless-steel construction which makes it a durable appliance which can last for years without breaking down. Both Cuisinart toa 60 and toa 65 are made of stainless-steel which looks and feel durable and doesn’t feel flimsy like many other brands on the market.

The glass doors are shatter proof and have stay-cool handle. On the inner side, there are two rack positions to change the tray positions as you feel suitable in accordance to your cooking plan. The hot air outlet vents are on both sides to keep it nice and cool. In terms of aesthetics, the toaster ovens are on the average side but in terms of durability, they have the best durable construction one could hope for.

Capacity

While testing we could fit 12” pizza, 3-4 pounds chole chicken, 6 slices of toast, 3 pounds of chicken wings, 2.5 pounds French fries with ease. The air frying basket, oven rack and baking pan are designed to be roomy enough to fit large batches for whole family.

Toast shade

The toast shade selector worked really well. I can select the shade according to individual preferences of my kids. You can choose from light to dark shade on your toast, perfect doneness is just a button away.

Heating Elements

As advertised and the manual confirms, Cuisinart toa 60 and toa 65 feature 4 heating elements on the top while 4 on the bottom for powerful cooking performance. no matter what you throw at it, it will come out succulent and finger licking delicious.

Also, both toaster ovens feature an oven light which lights up while cooking, helps to keep track of cooking progress.

Accessories

The number of accessories we got with both Cuisinart toaster ovens are the same. With Cuisinart toa 60 we got air fryer basket, baking pan, drip tray and an oven rack.

Cuisinart Toa 65 comes with an oven rack, stainless steel basket, and baking pan/drip pan.

Cleanup

I found cleaning either of the two appliances extremely convenient. The finger-resistant and stain-resistant exterior can be wiped clean with damp cloth. The interior can also be wiped clean with a piece of cloth soaked in warm soapy water. The accessories such as air frying basket, baking pan and drip tray are all dishwasher safe.
